Community rules

1. Who can be here

Nayberlee is for verified residents of a supported neighborhood. Members must be 18 or older, or participate with a parent or guardian who accepts these rules.

Address verification places you in a neighborhood. Phone verification is optional and only raises your trust score.

2. Talking about local businesses

Any resident may recommend, discuss, question, or criticize any local business by name in any post or comment. This is unlimited and free. No business page is required, and no subscription changes what neighbors are allowed to say.

Business owners may reply to anything about their own business at no cost, forever. Optional paid visibility tools never affect a neighbor's ability to post or an owner's ability to answer.

Describe your own experience. Include dates, amounts, and what happened. Do not state as fact anything you did not witness or cannot document.

3. Naming individuals and HOA content

Posts that name a specific individual, and all HOA or community-governance threads, carry an extra review flag. A moderator reviews them before enforcement action, because of defamation and harassment exposure in that category.

Keep governance threads on documents, dates, votes, and process. Do not post home addresses, workplaces, license plates, or photographs of people taken to shame them.

4. Not allowed

Harassment, threats, slurs, or targeted campaigns against a neighbor or employee.

Doxxing, private medical or financial details about others, or recordings shared to intimidate.

Scams, counterfeit goods, weapons, drugs, animals for sale, and rental or lending schemes.

Impersonating a neighbor, a business, a moderator, or a public agency.

Coordinated ratings manipulation, including asking others to post recommendations you wrote.

5. How moderation works

Moderation is performed by volunteer moderators scoped to a specific neighborhood, with admin escalation available.

Reported content is reviewed with a 48-hour target. Content in the extra-review categories may be hidden pending review before a decision is issued.

Moderation is discretionary. Nayberlee hosts content written by its members and does not adopt their statements as its own; we may remove or restrict content we judge to violate these rules.

6. Appeals

Every enforcement action may be appealed once. The appeal is reviewed by a different moderator than the one who took the action.

Appeal decisions are recorded in the moderation log with the reason given.

7. Accessibility and conduct

We build core flows to WCAG AA. If something on Nayberlee is unusable with a screen reader or keyboard, report it and we treat it as a defect, not a request.

Assume your neighbor is a person you will run into at the mailbox. Write like it.
